This has ended. If you attended, let the organizer know by recording your impact!

Children’s Friend is seeking volunteers to support an emerging organizational effort to gather feedback from clients. We are interested in their perceptions and experiences as they begin involvement with our agency. We seek to collect data including, long-form, informal interviews with clients, brief surveys, and observations of home visits. The collected data will be used to inform ongoing opportunities for organizational feedback on the experiences of our clients with the goal of developing improvements to our systems and operations, or opportunities for grants to support new practices or procedures or procure new resources for families.

We expect this to be a commitment of 5-10 hours per week. Volunteers will:

  1. Engage in interviews and unguided conversations with families of young (under 5) children
  2. Contact families for phone or email surveys.
  3. Help to collate and analyze data.
  4. Develop reports and recommendations to present to internal teams.

We seek 2-3 (bilingual preferred) volunteers with the following qualifications:

  1. Comfortable working with diverse populations
  2. Flexible and willing to “meet families where they are”
  3. Interviewing and/or qualitative data collection and analysis experience
  4. experience or classes in child development, psychology, education, policy, sociology, human centered design, innovation, or related is preferred

All volunteers must be willing to submit to or provide a recent (less than 6 months old) Background Criminal Information Check, and Child Abuse and Neglect Screening.
