Join us in the garden at Tri Cycle Farms on Saturday from 8am-noon for our summer gardening workdays!
Summer workdays will be a mixture of weeding, watering, harvesting, weeding, planting, pruning, mulching, and more weeding. Special projects will occur in between regular chores as we decide to build new beds, create new paths, become an event center, gather our aquaponics resources, and experience all the unknowns that come from working at a farm! Come as you please and stay for the length of time that suits your schedule!
Bring a water bottle, work attire, sunscreen, and possibly bug protection. Let us know your interests and we'll help you learn the process. :)
PARK at Trinity United First Methodist Church in the GRAVEL parking lot and use the Garland crosswalk to meet at the farm. There will be a sign-in sheet either on the picnic tables behind the Rock House or inside the Rock House (someone can help you find it--just knock or go on in). If no one is immediately available to meet you, walk out into the garden and ask the first person you see.
After you serve at Tri Cycle Farms, make sure to log your impact in GivePulse and the organizer will verify it within 3 days. Volunteers who have not signed in cannot be confirmed, so make sure to write your info down on the sign-in sheet.
Cancellation policy: we work in the light rain, but if there is thunder and lightning, we will cancel. Email the organizer or check our Facebook page on the day-of for more information.
Keep us in mind for your large group service projects, such as RSOs, Greek organizations, academic groups, and faith-based groups. Email the organizer (volunteer(at)tricyclefarms.org) or send a GivePulse message for more information.

All you have to do at Tri Cycle Farms is "try"...and avoid stepping on the beds or damaging the irrigation system.
|Perks||Through Tri Cycle Farms' Thirds Share program, volunteers are invited to share in the harvest. Ask a staff member about harvest sharing procedures (weighing and logging information on the harvest). Bring your own reusable shopping bag!|
|Parking Details||We do not have enough parking for staff and volunteers at the farm, so make sure to park in the gravel lot at Trinity United Methodist Church, across the street from the farm. Be careful in the Garland crosswalk!|
