Leading collaborative education reform efforts, promoting business-education partnerships, expanding college access and providing workforce development opportunities for youth in the Los Angeles Area. Program Description: Help 11th & 12th grade students practice for upcoming paid summer internship interviews. Students will demonstrate their work readiness skills by performing in a mock interview. They will dress in professional attire, bring a resume & job application and will be prepared to respond to interview questions. Volunteer Roles and Responsibilities:Business professionals are needed to interview students and provide feedback. Questions and scoring rubrics are provided. Volunteers will be oriented to the scoring materials and pre-determined interview questions. Time Commitment: 2 hours minimum Requirements: 2 years experience in a business or work setting.Dress is professional attire and English speaking volunteers are necessary. Bilingual is a plus. Benefits: Volunteers will know that they have helped a youth progress toward being college and career ready. Food and Beverages will be provided at the event.
