About

The Wheatland Urban Farm is part of Urban Farms of Central Ohio, a non-profit urban farming business that takes vacant and/or underutilized land and transforms it into thriving, community farms. We seek to provide underserved communities with increased access to local produce, jobs and job training, and education about fresh produce and improved diet.

This project will consist of:
  • Preparing and amending the beds
  • Planting crops
  • Site clean-up including trash pick-up
  • Crop maintenance (weeding, mulching, etc.)
  • Harvest help
  • Other miscellaneous farm tasks

Requirement Details
*Volunteers need to bring their own water.
*Volunteers should wear closed toe shoes and clothes that can get dirty. Volunteers will be outside the duration of your time so please dress in layers and bring a hat and sunscreen.
*Port-a-Potty available on site.
Parking Details
Please park on the street along Wheatland Avenue and access the farm through the north end of the health center parking lot.
