Description
As a part of our guided hiking program, we invite you to help us lead our interpretive hikes and walks on some of our best local parks! We need interpretive hike co-leaders as well as sweeps to help us ensure our attendees have a quality and safe experience. Volunteers will help TMPF staff lead interpretive hikes by identifying and telling attendees about the natural and cultural history of the park. This is an opportunity open for individuals seeking roles in interpretation, leadership, teaching, public speaking, and community service.  Training is provided, so don't let lack of experience keep you from registering. Experience is a plus, but not necessary.
Walk Co-Leader
Responsibilities: Volunteers will co-lead interpretive walks that last one hour (7:00pm-8:00pm). These will take place on Thursdays during from April to October. Co-leaders will talk about the flora, fauna, and cultural history of local parks. Volunteers will be provided a program outline for each park and will prepare for the walk with TMPF team members earlier in the week.
Walk "Sweeper"
Responsibilities: Volunteers will make sure all participants are safe and enjoying themselves. They will remain at the back of the group. They will also help ensure all participants have completed a liability waiver and other paperwork.
