Description
Children’s Education Preschool Volunteer The Cibolo Nature Center & Farm’s mission is the conservation of natural resources through education and stewardship. We provide programming for children, youth, adults and families while protecting vanishing natural areas. Volunteer Role Description Volunteers in our Nature School serve as teaching aides to help facilitate nature-based play in a safe and calm learning environment. Duties include reading to children, assisting with outdoor exploration, preparing crafts, engaging with children during daily hikes, and helping with set-up and clean-up. Volunteers will spend time outside and should be able to hike in warm and cold weather.

Requirements
All volunteers must be able to attend training, and participate in periodic preschool staff meetings.
Commit to one day per week
Hours are 8:30am to 2:30pm
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must pass a background check.
There are some physical demands: lift at least 40 lbs, walking on hikes, and bending over.
Our Nature Preschool is Monday through Friday. Available days can be based on volunteer availability and agency needs.

Our most current need: Thursdays

Potential volunteers may come and shadow our educators for a day and ask any questions they may have about our program. Please contact us for more information or set up a date.
