|Age Limit||13 and up|
The first two hours will be spent weeding, grooming, thinning, planting, or whatever else needs doing in the Herb Garden. The last hour will be spent learning about using herbs to create drinks.
I will have cold water and bug spray available, you bring your favorite hand tools for weeding and grooming (soil knives, Cape Cod weeders, old kitchen knives, trowels, pruners, gloves, etc. – no hoes or rakes needed, though). Everyone will get to go home with a handout that includes tips and recipes. Arrive at the Horticulture Building in the south end of the parking lot by 8:15a.m.
Please dress appropriately: sun hats and closed toe shoes are suggested. Note: this learning opportunity is “purchased” via a barter system: you must work the first two hours (8:15 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.) to attend the last hour of class (10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.), making this a free event!).
