Description
Hosted by the Austin Parks and Recreation Department, the purpose of the event is to enrich, educate and empower the Austin Community. The notion is to aim to cultivate an action lifestyle change towards healthy, positive behaviors and attitudes for the youth, as well as promote and educate all citizens of Austin by giving them resources to use to lead a healthier, more productive lifestyle. IT'S TIME TEXAS will be hosting a 'kid zone' and will need volunteers to lead 12 activities. Set up for the event will be from 12-1pm with participants arriving at 1:00pm. Activities include: Exercise Challenge Drop (Plunko) Healthy Food Toss Fun Fit Obstacle Course Sugar Game Sack Race Simon Says Spin Wheel Hula hoop/jump rope Challenge Ladder Golf LH/CH booth - give away SNAP books Coloring Book Station My Plate
