Description

The Austin Community Tree program is looking for volunteers to help with a block walk to get the word out about the city's annual tree planting event.

Volunteers are needed on Saturday, September 9 to reach residents in Austin's Highland neighborhood.

We will meet at 8 am. Make sure to bring a hat, sunscreen, and water.

Location: Highland Neighborhood Park and Reznicek Field

What volunteers will be doing:

  • Block-walk a section of the Highland neighborhood to offer trees to eligible properties;
  • Distribute door hangers and tree flags to potential tree-planting sites;
  • Record data;
  • Volunteers should bring hat, sunscreen, and water.
  • On-site training will be provided.
  • Refreshments provided
