Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful Truckee River Cleanup Day

Saturday, September 30th, 2017 from 8:30am to 12:00pm

About

Since 2004, the Truckee River Cleanup Day has become an annual event that attracts more then 800 volunteers, in hopes of keeping the Truckee River clean and pristine. The cleanup spans from Verdi to Lockwood, also including river tributaries.

Volunteers at the Rancho San Rafael site will be helping to remove invasive weeds, clear hiking and biking trails, and keep the tributary running through the park healthy by pruning back willow trees.

Rancho San Rafael has been set up as a cleanup site exclusively for university students, faculty and staff!

After the cleanup, volunteers are invited to join KTMB at Cottonwood Park in Sparks for an appreciation BBQ.
