About

Join us in the garden Tuesday and Saturday mornings from 9 a.m. to Noon or Friday afternoons from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. for our winter gardening workdays! Stay for the whole time or drop in for whatever portion suits your schedule.

Winter workdays will be a mixture of weeding, moving mulch, clearing beds, covering beds with straw, and starting seeds for spring. Special projects will occur in between regular chores as we build new beds, create new paths, become an event center, gather our aquaponics & hydroponics resources, and encounter all the unknowns from working at a farm!

Dress warmly.  Bring a water bottle, sun protection as needed, and possibly bug protection. Closed-toed shoes, long pants, long sleeves, and layers are recommended. We will work in light rain but not in heavy rain.  We will work in cold weather but not in subfreezing temperatures, or in weather with lightning. Indoor or greenhouse activities may be available.  Email the organizer if you have questions about weather cancellations on specific dates.

PARK at Trinity United Methodist Church in the GRAVEL parking lot and take the crosswalk carefully (watch for people turning left onto Garland) to meet at the farm. The Red bus line has a stop directly across the street from the farm. We also encourage you to bicycle to Tri Cycle! The farm consists of the Rock House at 1705 N. Garland, the red barn behind it, and the 2 acres behind the barn. If you do not see anyone working in the garden or at the barn when you arrive, please knock on the front door of the Rock House, which is right in front of the farm at 1705 N. Garland.

Keep us in mind for your large group service projects as well! Email the organizer for more information on group reservations.
