About

Thanks so much for choosing to volunteer with us! We are excited to have you join us!

Every Tuesday evening, we serve our neighbors through community dinner and Northwest Project programming education at the downtown YMCA location (417 S. Jefferson Ave.). We need volunteers to serve in a variety of ways. Volunteers help us serve dinner, assist with childcare, and help with general cleanup. For this experience, volunteers should plan to arrive at the YMCA around 4:45 and stay until clean up is completed around 7:45. Casual Dress and closed toed shoes are great for this event. If you are volunteering with our children, you will be asked to fill out a background check when you arrive.

The Typical Evening Schedule Includes:

4:45 - 5:15: Begin Set Up for Dinner/Programming
5:15 - 6:00: Dinner is Served
6:00 - 7:30: Programming & Childcare
7:30 - 7:45: Clean Up

When you arrive at the YMCA, please park in the parking lot behind the building. The lot is located off of Pershing with its entrance on Jefferson. Please walk in through the main doors. If you have additional questions, please feel free to contact our Youth Development Coordinator by email at kelly@drewlewis.org or by calling our office number at 417-720-1890. Thanks! We look forward to working with you!
