Help encourage students to donate items to be reused and recycled during move-out by tabling on campus!
In efforts to decrease the amount of waste students produce during move-out the UNF Environmental Center is recruiting volunteers to table the week before move-out (April 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th) and the last week of school, during move-out (April 23rd, 24th, 25th, 26th), in various on-campus housing locations. We will be telling students about Housing’s end-of-the semester “Give & Go” donation drive that starts Friday, April 20th and runs all during the week of finals/ move-out until the 28th. Our goal by tabling during these two weeks is to get maximum awareness and participation in this program in order to reduce our campus waste.
The different shifts are listed out, with corresponding times and locations, indicating where you will meet. There will be a morning and afternoon shift for each day. FOR EXAMPLE, 10AM-12PM Osprey Fountains OR 2PM-4PM Village Sidewalk, near Fine Arts Building. This tells you where we will be tabling on that day. Also note, that on Tuesday, April 24th, there will be a chalking shift available! If you can only do part of a shift, please note which hours you can do, in your signup. We appreciate any time that you are able to help out! Information on the collection is available at https://www.unf.edu/housing/UNFGiveandGo.aspx. If you are unsure about the locations, please view the campus map at http://maps.unf.edu/#UMAP_2013041616337 or https://www.unf.edu/uploadedFiles/president/publicrelations/Printable%20Map.pdf
You can help further your impact by telling your fellow ospreys about the collection, and also sign up for the Social Media Pledge! Simply email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will send you a link to share a post about the UNF Give & Go collection on Facebook or Instagram. (Share anytime between April 16-27th).
THOSE WHO SIGN UP TO VOLUNTEER FOR TABLING AND/OR THE SOCIAL MEDIA PLEDGE WILL BE ENTERED IN A SMALL PRIZE DRAWING!
