The Garden Intern supports CTFB’s Gardener by assisting with the day to day care and maintenance of the garden, by leading volunteers to plant, propagate, harvest, and care for plants, by washing and preparing vegetables for distribution, and by assisting with maintenance of the garden’s physical infrastructure. Upon completion of the internship, the Garden Intern will be able to build a successful garden and grow one or more edible crops from seed to harvest.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
-Knowledge of and/or experience in gardening, farming or plant nurseries
-Experience using hand and power tools (saws, shovels, rakes, hoes, hammers, drills, etc.)
-Experience in physical labor in an outdoor setting, such as construction or landscaping
-Experience working with the public such as customer service, teaching or volunteer coordination
