Creek Restoration with the Colorado River Alliance

Friday, March 28th, 2014 from 1:30pm to 4:30pm (CT)

About

Join the Colorado River Alliance in restoring part of Lady Bird Lake's eroded banks on March 28th from 1:30 p.m - 4:30 p.m. With the help of dedicated volunteers such as yourself we will be adding 7 seed island beds to the shoreline of Lady Bird Lake near Pleasant Valley Road. These seed island beds will produce native plants which will prevent the banks from continuing to erode as well as provide habitat for some animals and help remove toxins from entering into our river. We need 15 volunteers MAX to complete this volunteer project.

Please note this will be an outdoor event, you will want to wear comfortable shoes as well as long pants and long sleeves that you do not mind getting dirty. A water bottle is also highly suggested.
