Please join us on Sunday, April 6 at SFC’s to assist the J-SERVE teens in the community garden. We are planning to have a fun-filled work day and would love for you to join in the celebration and appreciation of our Earth’s natural environment!
Since moving into our new building, we have been working hard to put together raised garden beds, efficient watering systems, lay paths, build tipis, and plant the garden for future use. Your work on Sunday will help us cultivate and prepare our garden so that our neighborhoods can grow, share and prepare healthy, local food. We'll be sure that there is time to show you around the community and teaching gardens.
Please bring your own water bottles and not disposable water bottles.
Before the project, please join us for a Community Gathering and Mitzvah Day Kickoff at 9 AM in the JCC Community Hall. You can bring items for any of the collection drives to the JCC at this time.
Ages 13 and up.
|Parking Details||We'll meet at the building: 2921 East 17th Street. Rebecca Saltsman be in the parking lot in front of PeopleFund at 10:15 and we’ll walk over to the garden together. The parking lot is open and free. |

Wear close-toed shoes, long pants, and be ready to stand and work hard for the whole morning! Please do not bring any waste or disposal water bottles. We are zero waste. No skills necessary. We'll plan on taking a break towards the end for your pizza party. Please be sure that everything you bring in, also gets taken out!
