The Hill Country Ride for AIDS is the most successful single-city AIDS ride in the nation and winner of the Austin Chronicle’s Best Bike Ride two years in a row! The Hill Country Ride for AIDS is more than just a charity bike ride; it’s also a community of kindness and support. The Hill Country Ride for AIDS is an annual cycling event in beautiful Central Texas in which riders and volunteers provide life saving support for thousands of Central Texans living with HIV/AIDS by raising money for 10 local nonprofit organizations: AIDS Services of Austin, allgo, C.A.R.E. Program, Care Communities, Community Action, Friends of David Powell Clinic, OutYouth, Project Transitions, Waterloo Counseling, Wright House Wellness Center.
The Ride would not happen without our great volunteer crew! Being on crew is all about making this great event a safe and memorable experience for everyone. Registration is required. When you review your registration options in the registration system, you'll see the chance to register for one of our specific volunteer crews as an individual registrant, or you can join an existing team and register, or you can start a new team and register! Join us!
PerksEach volunteer crewmember receives free parking, Ride t-shirt, breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Ride day and the benefit of becoming part of a community of kindness. The actual event goes from 7am-5pm; volunteer needs span 6am-8pm and there is a split shift.

Photographers and Videographers needed to document our various events supporting the ride, the Friday Night Opening Ceremonies and Dinner (5pm-8pm, Friday Night Before Ride) and Ride Day (7am-7pm, Saturday).0/10Over

Route Support: hang out with one other person at water crossings, sharp turns, etc, to point out important turns and points along the route.
Route Prep: covers everything that makes routes safe and rideable. You name it, we do it!

SAG Drivers: Keep an eye on the Riders to make sure they are safe and have their necessities
May give struggling Riders a lift to the next Pit Stop, or to Reunion Ranch, if necessary

Route Signage: Works with Route Logistics to put out and retrieve directional and inspirational signs on Ride routes, encouraging, guiding, and thanking Riders along the way. 0/25Over

Massage/Chiropractic/Acupuncture: The riders love this! After taking on miles in the Texas sun and hills, the riders need a massage or adjustment. Acupuncture and other forms of body work are always in need for this team. Treatments are primarily done Saturday at camp, but are also offered at the lunch pit stop each day. Proof of registration/licensure is required.

Medical: The medical team is comprised of medical professionals providing basic first aid and limited advanced care to all participants. Nurses, EMT/paramedics, physical therapists, or other healthcare workers are needed. Proof of registration/licensure is required.

Can't make it for the whole day? Join us from 3:00-8:00pm to get the beautiful Reunion Ranch back into shape for its next guests. Make sure all recycling, trash and refuse are deposited. Lead the breakdown of tables, chairs and clean-up of pavilion. Ensure that the only thing we leave behind at Reunion Ranch is love and gratitude for such a beautiful place!0/25Over
