Come and help at our annual Fall Carnival! This is a very fun evening for children and families. Travis Heights Elementary is a majority low income school despite being nestled in the prominent Austin neighborhood just off SoCo. We would love folks interested in working booths, food service, set up or clean up. Volunteers must be patient and kind with the children, flexible to switch tasks if necessary mid-Carnival..and absolutely must have a great smile and a sense of humor! It's good for your health and the kids will adore you : )
Responsible high school age students will work. College students have annually been successful as well as other adult volunteers. No children.
PerksFood leftovers. Smiles from children that will melt your heart. A good feeling for giving to a school that desperately needs volunteers - especially at Carnival.
Parking DetailsThe school faces Alameda and this street is one-way (runs from north to south). The best way to get to the school is to park on one of the several side streets or near Big Stacy Park/Pool (E. Live Oak which 'T's into Alameda), then walk to the school. Call me at 633.2757 if you have questions and definitely map it before you come.

Hi volunteers! We are so excited to have you this Friday. When you arrive, head to the Volunteer Table at the front lobby of the school. You can ask for me OR you can mention that your a volunteer from (HT, UT, etc.) and then ask them to place you where most needed. If you have any questions, call me at 633.2757.
