Festival Beach Garden - Be The Change

Saturday, September 27th, 2014 from 9:00am to 12:00pm

About

Among the many projects at the garden, we will also need volunteers to help dig a trench for a water line and connect it and help move wheelbarrows of soil, weed and clear paths.
We also have @ the Rbj pantry assembling some volunteers interested in putting together shelving units. Some lifting is required as they need to help move the groceries and the units. It is in an air conditioned area.Plus!! We have just finally gotten the bee project we've been wanting for a long time. The morning of the workday, before the work begins, we're having a ceremony to celebrate the bees and honor the folks who made it possible. The volunteers will be invited to participate, learn a little about the project, have some refreshments, then get to work.

In addition:
Weed and mulch orchard, swale, rain garden, and habitat areas
Weed and compost communal garden
Clear and mulch pathways
Beautify main entrance
Clear portions of gathering areas to make them accessible for wheelchairs
Construction Projects:
• Complete construction of one bulletin board by adding small roof and doors
• Build two bulletin boards (one already has posts in the ground)
• Repair ramp of shed
