Farm to Table Cooking Class for Families

Saturday, September 22nd, 2018 from 9:30am to 12:30pm (CT)

We believe that every child should have the opportunity to love healthy foods. We believe that if given the skills and knowledge necessary to have a more active role in their food choices children will desire to become proponents for their health.

The Farm to Table Cooking Class builds enthusiasm around fresh fruits and vegetables and empowers students with the skills and the desire to prepare healthy food. It is a unique way for students to learn how to prepare a meal.

Apple Seeds will host 5 families in our garden kitchen. Parents will work with their children to read recipes, harvest the ingredients, prepare different recipes, and share what they've made as they all enjoy a family style meal together.

This experience shows parents new ways to prepare healthy foods so their kids will eat them, encourages families to bond over cooking and shows parents that their children are actually excited about trying new things when they have a hand in creating it!

Come help us lead these families through recipes, guide them through the garden, and help them find everything they need to be successful!
