We are looking for someone to engage our members in constructive art projects, using a variety of media. Past projects have included painting, collages, drawing, tie dyed T-shirts, art journaling and more. The art coordinator would also be responsible for selecting supplies. Class members will be adults in recovery with mental illness. The art program has been instrumental in promoting recovery through making people aware of their talents, and allowing people to express their feelings through art.
As Oasis is a peer-run center, students with lived experience of mental illness are strongly encouraged to apply.
