West View Elementary School

Welcome to West View Elementary School!

West View is a full-service school with an enrollment of 320 students and 35-member staff. West View selected "All Stars" as the school spirit symbol, rather than the usual animal mascot, to recognize that every student is a "star" in one way or another.

Students are encouraged to participate in extracurricular activities as well as academics. Student safety and success are primary goals, accomplished through partnerships with students, parents, and families.

About

WVE is a Title I school serving nearly 450 students from diverse backgrounds. Students are taught by a core of dedicated, knowledgeable and caring teachers and staff who participate in monthly professional development to help students reach their full potential. We also have licensed specials area teachers in physical education, music and art.

West View boasts a highly acclaimed dual language Spanish immersion program where K-5 students spend up to 80% of their day immersed in the Spanish language. WVE is also a Professional Development School for Ball State, hosting student teachers, practicum students and scores of observations from pre-service teaching majors.

Partnering with Second Harvest Food Bank, we host a monthly food pantry that is free for all our families and is generally held on the 2nd Wednesday of each month. We also enjoy a partnership with Westminster Presbyterian Church and WVCA (our PTO), which both provide volunteers for the betterment of our entire school community.
