Behind-the-Scenes Tour at the Smithsonian National Zoo

Saturday, November 3rd, 2018 from 8:00am to 9:30am

About

Description

DC EcoWomen will join an animal keeper on a morning tour getting a glimpse of the day in the life on the Asia Trail. We will step behind-the-scenes of the sloth bear exhibit to meet the animals up close and in person and learn more about the care they receive day to day. Then, we will continue on a front-of-house tour of the Asia Trail which is home to some of the zoo’s most famous residents including giant pandas, red pandas, Asian small-clawed otters, clouded leopard, fishing cat and sloth bears.

Please meet at the Visitor Center.  The tour will begin promptly at 8:00am.

The tour will not cover the entire zoo, but everyone will be able to visit the remainder of the zoo afterward on their own time.

While DC EcoWomen hosts many co-ed events throughout the year, this is a women only event.

There are a limited number of spaces available for the tour so we do not stress the animals behind-the-scenes. Each individual must register in advance. No unpaid guests. No refunds.

Location: Smithsonian National Zoo, 3001 Connecticut Ave NW, Washington, DC 20008
