HopeFest '18

In its 13th year, HopeFest '18 is Austin's largest campus-based family resource fair. Over 3,000 people come each year to connect with health, dental, employment, housing, food, legal and other resources, as well as to enjoy a day of celebration and family fun. Serving Austin's neediest communities, HopeFest is sponsored by local community groups and schools, and coordinated by Austin Voices for Education and Youth. We need 250 volunteers each year to help with set up, serving food, children's crafts and games, logistics, translation, health and dental screenings and clean up. UT students have been a key part of our volunteer team every year. Volunteers needed on the event day, Saturday, October 27, as well as Friday night, October 26 from 5 pm to 9 pm for set up and clothes sorting. You can sign up as a group or as an individual. Pre-registration for volunteers is important in order to make assignments.
