November EcoHour 2018

Please join us at the November 20th Ecohour at Teaism Penn Quarter to hear Josephine Chu and Yolanda Hawthorne, co-founders of  Zenful Bites, speak about their journey and mission to use food as the medium to transform lives and cultivate a sustainable, healthy, and just food system in Washington, DC.  via providing cooking workshops and offering holistic eco-catering services.

Josephine Chu and Yolanda Hawthorne are co-founders of Zenful Bites, a social enterprise that provides eco-catering services. Zenful Bites offers plant-based cuisine along with sustainable meat and seafood options, and specializes in catering to people with dietary preferences such as vegan, gluten free, nut allergies, etc. Through partnering with local organizations, Zenful Bites has provided healthy cooking demos to over 5,000 people.

*Teaism - Penn Quarter Accessibility Details: There is nearby ADA designated parking and the route from ADA parking to entrance is flat and paved. The door to the main entrance is not automated. Reserved seating near front for participants who are Deaf or hard of hearing is available, and the furniture is moveable for participants with mobility disabilities. Restrooms with accessible stalls are available and  clear signage indicates location of accessible restrooms and elevators. As attendees to this event may experience multiple chemical sensitivities, please refrain from wearing all perfumes and use fragrance-free, unscented personal care products for the duration of the event.

*Note that networking begins at 6:00pm and the discussion with the speakers begins at 6:30pm.
