Saturday morning tree-planting opportunities with Friends of Trees!

Interested in planting trees?  Learning about trees?  Making a difference giving back to your community!  Then our Saturday morning community planting events are for you!  Tree Planters are needed each Saturday morning from October through April -- you're welcome to attend a single 4-hr event, or as many as you like!

Planting events run from 9am – 1pm and we ask that volunteers arrive by 8:45am to be assigned a crew and enjoy some free breakfast treats and hot coffee/chocolate! In addition to free treats to fuel you up, Friends of Trees also provides gloves (youth sizes, too!), tools and tree planting guidance from a trained Crew Leader. Please come dressed for the weather and wearing sturdy, closed-toe shoes and clothes you don't mind getting a little muddy.

"How do I RSVP?"  View our Online Calendar that lists all our event times and locations.  Click on the event of your choice and fill out the quick registration form to save your place!  Please know registration is required to attend a Friends of trees event.  Groups are welcome to attend as well!  Please let us know the approximate number of people in your group when you submit the registration form.

We welcome people of all ages and abilities. If you desire any accommodation to make your volunteer experience more successful, please let us know in advance of the event you're interested in.  No previous experience is necessary. Gloves, tools, guidance, and breakfast snacks are provided …just dress appropriately for the weather and wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes.

"What about Covid-19?" We are requiring that volunteers cancel their participation if you feel unwell, or if you've been exposed to someone who is Covid-19 positive within 3 days of your event. For our C19 recommendations and more information, please see our .
