AFAN Jingles Festival

Join us for the annual Lake Mansion Jingles Art Festival!

DATE:  Saturday, November 17th event 10 AM – 3 PM (arrival 9:30, clean-up from 3-4 PM) We will need volunteers for the entire day or a minimum 3 hour shift.

WHO:  Arts for All Nevada is a non-profit organization founded in 1986.  We conduct almost 3,000 art workshops a year in northern Nevada in a variety of settings including schools, hospitals, on-site at the Lake Mansion, etc.

WHERE:  250 Court St. at Arlington Ave. (about 2 miles south of UNR)

ASSIGNMENTS: Set-Up (on Friday need 2-3 people for placing tables, chairs, etc.), Face Painting (need 2-3 at all times -  we will provide designs and all materials needed), Greeters (welcoming at each door w/AFAN info, bag for kids' artwork, need 2-3), verbal evaluation (quick “interview” with parents with set questions to determine what they liked/didn't like, need 1), Book give-away (1 free book for each child, need 1), what school do you attend (for kids to put a sticker by the school they attend, need 1), Artist assistant (help with the 8 art creation stations where kids get to make and take artwork home (these are simple 5-10 minute projects, need 3 especially from 11-1 PM to provide a break for art teachers), Clean up from 3-4 PM (need 3)

WHAT DO YOU GET:  Lots of art/history/kid fun, our gratitude, lunch, comradery of fellow volunteers/artists/AFAN staff and the public.
