Saturday Service Project - December

Saturday, December 15th, 2018 from 10:00am to 12:00pm (CT)

About

We will be improving habitat at the Lucius Burch trailhead at Shelby Farms Park, accessed by the service road at Gate 19, at Germantown Pkwy. and Walnut Bend.  (This location also appears as the Wolf River Refuge on Google Maps).  There are a variety of tasks to tackle: continuing to push back the wall of large privet and send more light to the forest floor, cutting or pulling small privet, planting a few trees in the clearing, picking up trash by the river, and cleaning up the pollinator beds - something fun for everyone!

We'll provide a limited number of gloves, saws, loppers, pruners and shovels, but please feel free to bring you own.

Please plan to dress for the weather and wear sturdy footwear, and bring plenty of drinking water and any other necessary supplies such as snacks and medications.
