Native Tree Planting (at Habitat Restoration Site)

Saturday, January 17th, 2015 from 9:00am to 12:00pm (CT)

About

Help us plant 1,000 tree seedlings at the bamboo removal and habitat restoration project site on the trail near Gaston Avenue. Shoal Creek Conservancy has joined forces with Pease Park Conservancy and the City of Austin Urban Forestry Program to recruit 100 people on this day. Please RSVP. And contact us directly at info@shoalcreekconservancy.org if you have a large group that would like to get involved.

What to Expect: We will plant 1,000 native tree seedlings along the Shoal Creek trail. This volunteer workday is part of a larger project to remove invasive bamboo and restore native habitat at the site.

Rain Plan: This event will take place in light rain and cold weather as we don't want to miss the perfect time to plant seedlings (winter months). If there is a driving rain, please check this website, your email and Facebook to see if the event will be rescheduled.

Please register so that we can make sure we have plenty of tools, tacos and shirts for everyone. Thanks!

Look forward to seeing you there!
