Description
We would like to invite students, youth, and young adults in the Athens community to participate in a very special volunteer workday/celebration on November 20th from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM with a block party from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at one of the very first community gardens in our Community Garden Network, Mae Willie Morton Community Garden, located at 136 Julious Drive.

The event will be hosted by the Young Urban Farmers, local students who are employed by Athens Land Trust and have expertise in gardening and farming practices. The Mae Willie Morton celebration/workday tasks will include weeding, amending the soil, clearing the fence line, and mowing down the grass. There will be speakers and refreshments, as well!

**If you are a minor or are registering a minor please make sure to indicate this on your registration so that we can send you the Minor Volunteer Waiver to be signed by a parent/guardian before volunteering**
