Organised by the Indian Cultural Association Dandiya Night will include Dandiya (and Garba) which is a type of a dance form celebrated during the Hindu festival of Navratri. This event will spread the traditional values of a major Indian festival, called Dandiya(Garba). Celebrating this on campus will give many American born students an opportunity to experience an international event participated by more than 60 million people around the world. This event goes along the University goals of promoting diversity and encouraging collaboration between international student groups and the student population.
