About
Come out and explore Bull Creek with us! We will meet at St Edwards Park and begin promptly at 10am. Jennifer M. Ramos will share tips to improve your outdoor/nature photography. This is a family-friendly event. Kids under age 18 will need to be registered by their parent or guardian, and kids under age 14 must have an adult guardian present for the duration of the hike.
Any camera, from a phone to a dslr, will work as long as you know the basics of how to use it. Please wear shoes for a rocky or slippery terrain that you can get wet. Odds are good you will be crossing a creek! Note that there is poison ivy in the park. If you have a backpack, you might want to pack a water bottle, small snack, and maybe even a prop. Plan to see wildflowers!
Directions:
The park is about 2 miles west of Loop 360 along Spicewood Springs Road. The parking lot is gravel and parking is somewhat limited. I would encourage you to carpool if you can as the parking lot can fill up quickly on a nice day.

Alright, I'm going to cancel this hike. There's a 100% (!!) chance of rain on Saturday and 50% chance on Sunday. This trail gets muddy and I would hate anyone to risk their photography equipment under uncertain conditions. Please stay tuned to the website for future community hikes. Thanks!

Rain is looking like a good possibility this Saturday and Sunday. I'm keeping a close watch on the weather and will make a determination on Thursday afternoon as to when and whether to change the hike time. Stay tuned!

Just a heads up - from 7:30 to 9:30am there will be a Beginner Bird Walk put on by the Travis Audubon Society. Parking is limited, but don't be scared off if you happen to arrive early!
