About
With the corporate sponsorship of US Lawns and the help of many volunteers, a community garden was established at the Athena Gardens Retirement Community in March of 2012. Residents of Athena Gardens cooperatively share responsibility for managing their fourteen 4′ x 20′ raised beds and in the past regularly enjoyed the harvest of their garden through communal meals prepared in the facility's kitchen.
Volunteers are needed to help with the rehabilitation of this valuable community garden; tasks will include breaking down old raised beds and helping with weeding and debris removal at Athena Garden.
** Please be sure to fill out our online liability waiver (online volunteer waiver here) before your volunteer shift. If you are a minor or are registering a minor, be sure to indicate that on your registration so that we can send you the minor volunteer waiver**

Requirement Details
Volunteers are required to dress appropriately for the weather including long pants and close-toed shoes. Volunteers are also advised to bring their own filled reusable water bottle.
Parking Details
Parking is available in the parking lot of the Athena Garden complex. Volunteers are asked to park in the parking designated for visitors. The garden is located around the back of the complex.
