Event Schedule
Kick-off Celebration: 8:30AM - 9:30AM at the Cedar Shoals High School gymnasium (1300 Cedar Shoals Drive).
Volunteer Shift: 10:00AM - 1:00PM at Nuci's Space (396 Oconee St.).
  • All participants are encouraged to carpool from the kickoff to their selected site.
  • All volunteers are encouraged to bring a canned food item to the kickoff event. Donations will benefit Campus Kitchen at UGA. Preferred items are dry pasta, broth, and rice.
Project Description
Volunteers will help inventory and catalog the Nuçi's Space resource library by entering information into a digital database. Additional volunteers will also pick up litter along the nearby Adopt-a-Highway stretch of road, as well as help with clean-up and improvement around the Space including outdoor landscaping tasks.
  • This site is suitable for volunteers 18 years old and up.
  • Volunteers should bring a reusable water bottle.
  • Volunteers should wear close-toed shoes and come dressed to get dirty.
  • Volunteers working with the library are encouraged, if they are able, to bring a laptop computer that can connect to wifi.
Registration Notes
This site requires that volunteers be 18 or older.
We are not able to accommodate large group registrations. If you have a group that would like to volunteer at the same site, each individual must separately register through Engage Georgia.

Parking Details
Volunteers will meet at the Cedar Shoals High School gym at 8:30am for the kick-off event and then carpool to Nuci's Space around 9:30am. Parking is available at Nuci's Space.
