Every year, Kealing 6th students are tasked with the engineering project of building a musical instrument that plays an 8-note scale. Kids make fantastic PVC pipe recorders, marimbas, steel drums, glass harps, and more! To support our students with building and problem solving, they hold after school building workshops. Students come with a plan, and they teach them to use drills and saws - what fun! They are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to come help their students build and tinker. You do not need to have musical experience.
They are asking their volunteers to commit to a week of volunteering (T, W, and TH) or to one day a week for the 5 week period. It helps their students to have consistent mentors. :)
