We have Tailgates in Delaware County the 2nd and 4th Thursday* of each month and we distribute thousands of pounds of food to hundreds of people in just 2 hours. If you are looking to up your volunteer engagement, this would be a good way to do it.
Tailgate volunteers will need to dress appropriately as the weather can be unpredictable! Wearing an outer layer of waterproof clothing and footwear (must be closed toed) is highly recommended. Strongly recommend wearing layers as you will be physically exerting yourself. Scarves and earmuffs would be a great idea too.
*We will cancel our Tailgates if the weather is -32 F (with windchill) or if the roads are dangerous.
