Saturdays in The Gardens are a series of programs designed to help both novice and seasoned gardeners alike hone their skills in a hands-on setting, focusing on basic gardening skills and trends. Programs will be held monthly with an in-classroom lesson then participants will complete a related service project in The gardens. Programs will be presented by the Friends of Birmingham Botanical Gardens and led by local experts.
January: Grow Houseplants!
Mark Thompson of SHOPPE will cover which plants are best suited as houseplants as well as how to help them thrive once you bring them home. Participants will work with experts to create a stunning display of houseplants for the Garden Center building.
