Career "Meet and Greet". Presenters answer student questions (grades 3-5) about their careers (training and education, interests and skills, etc.) Volunteers from 15-20 fields are present and students are coached prior to the event to prepare their questions. No presentation is required from volunteers, although visuals and equipment may be displayed. Students attend by grade level and are free to visit tables and talk to presenters freely. The structure is similar to a job fair.
Williams is a Title 1 school with a culturally diverse campus and students who are well-mannered and curious. Presenters frequently comment on the good quality of questions they ask!
