Career Fest began as a recommendation from the Austin Youth Council, as an initiative to expand opportunities to explore various careers, as well as combat the rising teen unemployment rate. Career Fest is a career exploration for Austin- area high school students. Career Fest provides the students with the opportunity to network with managers, directors, and peers, in order to expand their field of career options. We’re hoping to emphasize how important it is for these students to start developing the different skills necessary for future careers.

There will be 100 vendors present during Career Fest. Students will have the opportunity to talk to each vendor. There will also be 5 panels during Career Fest that the students can sit in on. The themes of the panels are Science, Technology, Engineering, Math and ADA.
We are looking for people who would be willing to:
*Set up (April 6th)
*Take down (After the Career Fest is over on April 7th)
*Greeters - Parking /Unloading (Helping the vendors set up their booths)
*Vendor Check In
*School Check in (during the Career Fest)
*Floaters (during the Career Fest)
