About

Put the scary in Conner Prairie

Nearly 30,000 thrill-seekers visit Conner Prairie in October to celebrate the fall and get ready for Halloween as the grounds transform into Conner Scarie, a haunted land inhabited by fun-loving ghouls left leaderless after their former leader, Lord Moldy Wart, accidentally and irreversible turned himself into a fuzzy bunny with an errant spell. The menacing Headless Horseman stalks the land, surprising guests as he continues an endless search for his lost head.

Wood coffins, scarecrows, Halloween lights and decorations, scary props and more create a ghostly setting throughout the month and volunteers are needed for a variety of tasks, including assembling and repairing props and installing props and decorations throughout Conner Prairie.

Five volunteers are needed daily from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. from Oct. 2-4.
