Netcare Foundation

About

Established in 1972, Netcare Access is Franklin County’s 24-hour mental health and substance abuse crisis intervention, assessment and referral service. Netcare provides emergency response service 24 hours a day, seven days a week at 614-276-CARE (2273). Anyone can call if they are in a mental health or substance abuse crisis, or if they’re concerned about a family member or friend, and Netcare clinicians will assist callers with resources and information. Aside from emergency crisis response, Netcare does so much more to support Franklin County residents – including in-person crisis intervention services, assessment services for adults and older adults, court-ordered forensic evaluations, probate pre-screenings and family psychological services. Referrals, if necessary, are made to local agencies and hospitals for therapeutic or inpatient treatment.

Netcare partners with local law enforcement to provide on-the-scene response to trauma victims in the area through its Community Crisis Response team. Netcare also has a mobile intervention service, Reach Out, which helps transport intoxicated persons off the street and to a place of safety.

Netcare also works to stabilize those who will be returning to their home environment after a crisis through its Crisis Stabilization Unit.  Netcare helps these clients through individual and group therapy, psychiatric nursing care and medication. Miles House is a residential respite for stabilizing adults, where clients can stay up to 16 days to continue easing back into the community.

Due to the nature of our work, volunteer opportunities are generally not available to the public. If you’re interested in getting involved with Netcare, please contact us.
