The Minority History Showcase will be on Feb. 20 from 5-8 with practices from 3-5 on Saturdays. If you are looking for a good resume builder this is it! This will become a yearly event that will grow each year so it is time to make your mark and get your name/group out there for the community to see!
This event is to inspire our youth be proud of their culture/heritage and to know against all odds if you want it, you can be it.
Theater students/actors/publication students/rapper/dance/general volunteers needed
Positions needed:
Male and female actor/theater student to read parts in skits and fashion showcase
Students who can do recording of performance/photograps and/or write about performance in U of A newspaper.
Students who are good with stage design or props.
Students who are good with working with kids to help them learn their part in showcase.
Students who might want to perform poetry or dance routine. There is a current routine for the young girls to learn ages from Kindgergarten to 18. Majority of kids are forth grade and younger.
Accepting additional kids to do parts in fashion show or dance routine.
Looking for a rapper to do one song to inspire the youth.
Looking for volunteers to sell concessions during performance and directing audience.
Looking for volunteers to help watch and direct kids until it is their time on the stage.
Looking for volunteers to decorate stage/room for setup and after performance.
