Welcome to ENGAGE UNCW with GivePulse, a community engagement platform that connects to WaveLink! This platform manages service hours and also connects students, staff, and faculty with our community partners in Wilmington and beyond.
This platform is managed by the Department of Campus Life – Student Community Engagement, located on the second floor of the Fisher Student Center in the CAIC suite. We offer many opportunities to get involved in the local community throughout the academic year, many of which are offered through our events that are tagged as Seahawks that Serve. You can learn more by visiting the Seahawks that Serve page.
Student Organizations, Departments, and Programs
All student organizations have a page created on ENGAGE UNCW that is integrated with rosters on WaveLink. If you are not connected with a student organization, but would like a page for your department or program, contact Zach Lemons, Coordinator for Student Community Engagement, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Utilize ENGAGE UNCW to manage your academic community-engaged learning or service-learning course. The platform provides useful tools for connecting with community partners, managing student reflections, for students to submit their service hours, and for you to manage student service hours and course outcomes. If you would like your course to be tagged so that you can access these features, contact Dr. Jeanine Minge, Associate Provost for Community Engagement and Impact, at email@example.com.
Contact Reddgo Long, Program Coordinator for Community Engagement and Impact, at firstname.lastname@example.org to create your own profile. By having a profile, you can create volunteer opportunities that students will be able to view. You can also utilize ENGAGE UNCW as a volunteer management platform for tracking and promoting opportunities to community volunteers.
