UT Farm Stand seeks to make local and organic produce accessible to all students, faculty and staff, while also creating a platform to educate the UT community about sustainable food choices and their impact on the environment. The objectives of Farm Stand are to set up a consistent farmers’ style market on campus and encourage the UT community to purchase sustainably-produced food by increasing the convenience of buying locally. In addition to this, Farm Stand will lower the carbon footprint of UT by reducing the amount of miles food has to travel while promoting healthier choices and lifestyle. In order for students to build a relationship with sustainable food choices, we want to assure it is as affordable as possible.
