SMART Description

Only 8% of low-income students earn a college degree. SMART closes the achievement gap by providing these students with access to private schools, and with intensive social, emotional and academic support from grades 5-12. 92% of SMART students attend college, forever altering the trajectory of their lives, and the lives of their families and communities.

The SMART Journey

Recruitment & Placement into one of our 21 partner middle schools as well as high school placement for our 8th grade Scholars.

Academic Summer Enrichment Program for rising 5th & 6th grade scholars

Middle School Achievement Program for 6th - 8th grade students, including after-school programming, one-on-one tutoring, mentoring, parent education series, specialized curriculum to provide academic support and community building.

College Access Program for 9th - 12th grade scholars with a goal of 100% of our Scholars reaching for, applying, and enrolling into a competitive 4-year college of their choice. Program includes College Tours, test prep courses, tutoring, workshops and parent education series.
