Thank you for your interest in volunteering with us. Inspiring Minds creates successful students by providing them with appropriate academic and social supports. We support Providence's Public Schools by connecting well-trained volunteers to struggling students to develop close connections through which young people discover who they are, gain skills to shape their own lives and learn how to interact and contribute to the world around them.
Providence has a number of students in grades K-5 that need a caring adult to support them academically and socially. We are currently recruiting volunteers for the 2018-2019 academic year for the following programs: In School Tutoring and Mentoring Program, the Kindergarten Project, and Breakfast Buddies. Corporations are welcome to volunteer through our Power Lunch program.
To apply, you first need to become a member of the Inspiring Minds community. To do so, click "Become a Member" above.
Before volunteering this fall, we are asking all returning volunteers to attend an information session, where we will update you on changes that have happened at Inspiring Minds and at the district level. This is an important session, as the district and Inspiring Minds have changed the process by which we place volunteers at schools. We will be sending out information on this shortly.
For information about how to add hours, register for volunteer shifts, upload BCIs, and more, click "Documents" on this page and then select "Inspiring Minds GivePulse User Guide."
