Spark Program

Spark is an award-winning national nonprofit that combats the epidemic of disengagement and dropping-out among low-income urban youth, with a unique apprenticeship model that brings 7th and 8th grade youth into professional workplaces. As students connect their school work to tangible career opportunities, they increase motivation and performance in school. Spark connects students with their dream jobs at a variety of exciting workplaces, including LinkedIn, Salesforce, CareerBuilder, Cisco, Google, CBS, Hulu, Comcast, and many more! This year, Spark will serve nearly 1,000 students in the Bay Area (San Francisco, Oakland and the Peninsula), Los Angeles, Chicago, and Philadelphia.

Mission: Spark's mission is to provide life-changing apprenticeships to youth in underserved communities across the United States.
