The Spring Creek Forest is a nature preserve with a crystal clear spring water creek flowing beneath 30-foot limestone cliffs and towering Bur Oak Trees. Three miles of hiking trails meander through the forest and along the creek providing a scenic urban oasis. The Society's current responsibilities are:
To maintain nature trails, an interpretive center, and parking lot.To restore the ecosystem by removing non-native plants. To plan activities, such as school ecology classes, ecological and plant research, and nature interpretation. To provide guided tours. To guard against vandalism in the forest.
