Cory’s Kitchen provides emergency food to families in need. Families can obtain an allotment of food once a month. The amount of food distributed to each family is dependent on the food collected from grocery chains and outlets that week, and from government food available to Cory’s Kitchen. It is usually a five to seven day supply. The size of the family is also taken into account. There is a brief intake process to enter the family into the Cory’s Kitchen database, which helps us determine the size of the family and any other needs they may have.
There are many volunteer positions available at Cory’s Kitchen such as transporting food, putting away or packing food, distributing food, office work and maintenance to name a few.
