The Saddle Light Center for Therapeutic Horsemanship

About

The Saddle Light Center was founded in May of 1991 for the purpose of providing horse-based therapy for individuals with a wide range of disabilities. Because of the strength, balance, and coordination developed through horse back riding, participants often find that other physical tasks such as walking become possible. Therapy on horseback is fun while providing significant physical, mental, and emotional benefits. Riders are scheduled on weekday afternoons and evenings.

Mission: The Saddle Light Center (SLC) is a community oriented non-profit organization. Our mission is to provide equestrian therapy for children, teenagers, and adults that have a disability including: neurological, orthopedic, learning, and emotional as well as a wide range of others. Our goal is to inspire our riders to accomplishments previously considered beyond their capabilities.
